Danielle Warneau

Hi there, my name is Danielle Warneau (she/her) and I am a certified nurse-midwife and sexual & reproductive health nurse practitioner.

I am thrilled to be joining the Seven Sisters team this summer, a little over a year after my own baby was born at this very same birth center. As a daughter of Acadian and Irish communities, I would like to acknowledge that I will be living and practicing on unceded Pocomtuc land.

My midwifery journey started nearly 15 years ago, and I became a CNM at the Yale School of Nursing in 2018. Before that, my undergraduate degree was in anthropology and biology at the University of New Mexico.

One of my favorite things about being a midwife is being able to really get to know the people I take care of, and provide true well-person care across the lifespan from adolescence through our crone years. I look forward to partnering with you in midwifery care that is trauma-informed, grounded in informed consent, and exercises power-with instead of power-over.

A bit more about me...

In my spare time I love romping around in nature with my kiddo, Luke, and partner, Miles. I also enjoy teaching myself to quilt, puttering around the garden, listening to midwifery and herbalism podcasts, reading, and (if I’m being honest) I love British television. Once the pandemic settles out a bit, I look forward to contra dancing and singing in community again, and showing my baby more of the world.
